Melvin’s 90-second video is a short work using scenes from Hollywood Western "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly ". Adopting a computer game-style process to the work, Melvin speaks of early nineties video gaming as much as he does the American Wild West, questioning our desire to win. This hybrid game/film documents a futile repetitive process that discusses the Western formula and plays on our memories of the film genre. In its cynical editing and incessant repetition it begs the question: “Is the only winning move not to play?”
